Changes to Personal Water Craft (PWC) Licensing and Safety Equipment

PWC Licencing and Safety Equipment


Following consultation with interested Personal Water Craft operators, there have been several changes to licensing and safety equipment requirements to co-incide with the gazetting of the new Marine and Safety (Motor Boats and Licences) By-laws 2008.

As from January 1 2009, you are required to have an endorsement on your existing power boat licence to operate a PWC.

After 1 January 2009 it will be a requirement to undertake a practical and theory training program to obtain the endorsement.
