Approved Training Providers


MAST has a responsibility to monitor the standard of training provided as a prerequisite for the issue of Certificates of Competency. This ensures that the training complies with the required outcomes of the National Standards for Commercial Vessels Part D ‘Crew Competencies’, and the relevant elements of the national Industry Training Packages.

To be eligible for approval an organisation must:

Be a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) which must be registered with a State or Territory vocational education and training authority; and
Deliver the required units within the scope of their registration with the State or Territory vocational education and training authority under the National Training Framework.
