	Notes on Registration Numbers
Registrations issued by Marine and Safety Tasmania consist of a five (5) digit number (e.g. 15431). Registrations issued by the previous Port Authorities generally consisted of two (2) Letters and up to five (5) numbers. Please note that the number displayed on the vessel may vary to what is recorded on our database. For example the registration number HT00898 as recorded may appear on the vessel as HT00898, HT0898, HT898 or even as 898HT, 8980HT. You may need to try a number of different combinations before you find the correct vessel.
